NGC 4565: Needle Galaxy

The Needle Galaxy (known as NGC 4565) is a spyral galaxy located in the contellation Coma Berenices.
ts pointy shape is due to the fact that from our point of view is observed edge-on, that is also the reason why the extremely bright center bulge is so evident.
This galaxy is about 52 mln l.y. away from us.
